How to Add and Manage Shifts
Updated over a week ago

The shifts tab in settings allows users to manage the shifts that their cleaners are working. Shifts are assigned to cleaners and let the Mero system know what tasks are supposed to be completed, when.

Accessing the Shifts Page:

1. Navigate to the 'Settings' page found on the bottom left of the screen.

2. On the Settings page, you will see a 'Shifts' section. Click on this section to access all your shifts.

3. All shifts are displayed in a table along with their details including cleaners assigned to the shift

4. For quick access, use the filters for Building and Cleaner at the top of the table to easily find specific shifts.

Adding a New Shift:

1. Inside the 'Shifts' page, click on the 'Add Shift' button to open the shifts sidebar.

2. On the shifts sidebar, you will find fields for the following:

  • Shift Name: The name of the shift. It’s helpful to name your shift something easily recognizable (ex. 1st Floor Day Porters)

  • Building: Select the building the shift is located in

  • Cleaner: Select the cleaners that are assigned to that shift

  • Start Time: Select when the shift starts (note this is in the building’s timezone)

  • Duration: Select how long the shift will be for, in hours and minutes

  • Occurrence: Select the occurrence for the shift (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)

    • If weekly is chosen, select the day(s) of the week for the shift.

3. Once you have entered all the necessary information, click the Save New Shift button to add the new shift.

Editing a Shift:

1. To edit a shift, locate the shift in the 'Shifts' table and click the pencil icon on the right associated with that shift.

2. The shift sidebar will open and allow you to make the necessary changes.

3. After making the changes, click 'Save Shift' to update the shift details.

Removing a Shift:

1. If you need to remove a shift, locate the shift in the 'Shifts' table and click the garbage icon associated with that shift.
