Add, edit and remove cleaners within the Mero platform

Updated over 10 months ago

The cleaners tab in the settings page provides an overview of cleaners within your organization. In the Mero system, cleaners do not have access to any Mero resources but instead have tasks and beacons associated with them.

The table allows you to filter by building, as well as see the names and beacon status of cleaners within the organization.

Beacons are an important part of Mero’s verification technology. You can see whether a beacon is offline by referencing the “Beacon Status” column in the table.

Accessing the Cleaners Tab:

1. Navigate to the 'Settings' page by clicking on the settings icon on the bottom left side of the screen

2. Within the Settings page, locate the 'Cleaners' tab on the top and click on it.

3. You’ll be presented with a table showing all cleaners in your organization.

Beacon Status:

On the cleaner's page, you'll see a column labeled Beacon Status. The Beacon Status column shows the status of the Beacon the cleaner is carrying. If the beacon shows "Beacon Not Found", and if the cleaner is on-shift, the beacon should be replaced.

Adding a Cleaner

  • To add a cleaner, hit the "Add Cleaner" button on the right hand side of the application

  • Enter in the details in the popup:

    • Name of the cleaner

    • Assigned Buildings: The building(s) that the cleaner is assigned to work at

    • Beacon ID: The Beacon ID that the cleaner is carrying. Note that only one beacon can be assigned to one cleaner.

    • Click the "Save New Cleaner" button to save the information

Editing a Cleaner/Replacing a Beacon

  • 4. To edit a cleaner or change a beacon, hit the pencil icon beside the cleaner name on the right.

  • A sidebar will appear allowing you to edit the relevant information

  • When you are finished editing, hit the save icon

Deleting a Cleaner

  • To delete a cleaner, hit the garbage icon to the right of the cleaner you’d like to delete.

Note: Deleting a cleaner also removes their assigned beacon so you can assign it to another cleaner if needed.
