What is Mero Live Clean?
Mero Live Clean is a feature that allows you to display real-time restroom cleaning and traffic information on a screen (like a tablet) for your tenants and visitors. It helps you stay compliant with hygiene standards and transparently shows everyone when a space was last serviced, its cleaning history, and how many people have used it.
Don't see the Live Clean section in your Mero dashboard? Live Clean is an add-on feature that may need to be enabled for your organization. If you cannot find it, please contact your account manager for assistance.
Creating Your First Live Clean Display
Get your first display up and running in minutes.
Navigate to the Live Clean section from your Mero dashboard.
Click the + New Live Clean Display button to open the configuration screen.
Fill out the essential information:
Display Title: This is the main header that people will see on the screen (e.g., "Floor 5 Men's Washroom").
Display Status: Keep this ON to make the display active.
Location: Select the Campus, Building, Floor, and specific Location where the display will be used. This is how Mero knows which data to show.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
That's it! You've created your first display. All other settings will use Mero's recommended defaults, which you can change later.
Viewing and Sharing Your Display
Once your display is created, it will appear in the list on the main Live Clean page. Here's how you can access and share it:
To View the Display: Click the eye icon (
👁️) in the row of your new display. This will open a new tab showing exactly what would appear on a tablet or screen.To Get a Shareable Link: Click the link icon (
🔗) to copy the direct URL for the display.To Create a QR Code: Click the QR code icon (
📱). You can download a branded QR code as a PNG or SVG file to create stickers or signs, allowing visitors to scan it with their phones to see the cleaning status.
Important Note: All Live Clean display links are public by default. Anyone with the link or who scans the QR code can view the display without needing to log in to Mero. This is intentionally designed for easy, transparent access for tenants and visitors.
Controlling Which Visits Appear on Your Display
You can now control which cleaning visits appear on your Live Clean displays at the building level. This helps ensure your displays show the most relevant cleaning activity for your tenants and visitors.
Setting Up Visit Filtering
Visit filtering is configured when you create or edit a building:
Navigate to Settings > Buildings tab in your Mero dashboard.
Click Add a Building or open an existing building to edit.
Scroll down to the Live Clean Settings section (this section only appears if Live Clean is enabled for your organization).
Under Live Clean Visit Filter, select one of the following options:
All visits (Default) - Shows every cleaning log entry, including quick check-ins and all cleaning activity
Team tasks only - Shows only visits associated with structured team tasks from your cleaning schedule
Click Save to apply your changes.
When to Use Each Filter Option
Choose "All visits" if:
You want complete transparency showing every time a cleaner entered the space
Your cleaning logs accurately represent meaningful cleaning activities
You want to display the most comprehensive view of cleaning activity
Choose "Team tasks only" if:
Your cleaners make quick check-ins that aren't full cleaning sessions
You want to show only scheduled, structured cleaning activities
You're seeing inflated visit counts on your displays (e.g., 12-15 visits per day when only 2-3 full cleanings occur)
Important Notes
This setting applies to all Live Clean displays within that building
Changes take effect immediately on all displays for the building
The setting does not affect your cleaning validation data or reports—only what appears on Live Clean displays
If you don't see the Live Clean Settings section, Live Clean may not be enabled for your organization
