1. Introducing the New, Limited-Access Viewer Role
We have introduced a new Viewer user role, specifically designed for cleaners, maintenance personnel, or any team member who needs limited, focused access to the Mero Control Center.
This role allows users to see and interact with the information relevant to their tasks without giving them access to sensitive settings or the ability to modify data they don't own.
What Viewer Users Can Do:
View and Manage Assigned Work Orders: Viewers can see a list of work orders that are assigned directly to them.
Interact with Work Orders: They can open an assigned work order to:
See all related details.
Add notes and comments.
Attach photos and pictures as proof of work.
Resolve or close the work order once it is complete.
Access the Location Summary: Viewers can see the Location Summary page to get a broad overview of building metrics, including:
Average visit time
Expected vs. actual cleaning visits
Number of people (if traffic is enabled)
Consumable usage data (if consumables are enabled)
Manage Their Own Profile: They can modify their personal account settings, such as their name, email, and phone number.
What Viewer Users CANNOT Do:
No Creation Rights: They cannot create new work orders.
Limited Visibility: They cannot see work orders that are not assigned to them.
No Access to Raw Traffic Data: While they can see the total number of people in the Location Summary, they do not have access to detailed traffic reports.
No Access to Settings: All administrative and building settings are hidden and inaccessible to Viewer users. They cannot change or modify any building information.
2. Deeper Insights with New Analytics Studio Tables
For our users with the Analytics Studio add-on, we've added new data tables to unlock even more granular reporting. You can now analyze your data on both a daily and an hourly basis.
To access them, create a New Question and select one of the new data sources.
New Data Tables:
Metric Daily Data: Use this table to see aggregated data on a day-to-day basis. It's perfect for tracking weekly trends or daily totals.
Metric Hour-Wise Data: Use this table to analyze data on an hour-by-hour basis. This is ideal for understanding activity during specific time windows (e.g., comparing traffic from 1 PM to 4 PM vs. the rest of the day).
How to Use the New Tables:
Start with Data: Begin your question with either
Metric Daily Data
orMetric Hour-Wise Data
.Join with Tags: You must join your data with the
Metric Tags
table. This is a critical step that connects your data to locations, cleaners, and buildings.Choose Your View: After joining with tags, you can join again to tables like
Locations
orCleaners
to group your data accordingly.Filter by Key: To select the specific metric you want to analyze, filter by the
Key
column. Available keys include:expected_time
(for cleaning)median_refill_time
number_of_refills
number_of_cleaner_visits
total_people
(requires traffic sensors)total_refill_time
(requires consumables)total_visit_time
(requires cleaner beacons)
For a complete guide on building reports with these new tables, please see our updated Analytics Studio support document.

0:00 Hi there, two new features that we brought this week to the Mero Control Center. The first is a new viewer user.
0:10 This user you can give to cleaners or other maintenance personnel that you just want to see limited information in the system.
0:18 They cannot create work orders. They cannot orders or see work orders that are not listed as them as the assigner.
0:27 You can click on a work order and they can still add notes, attach photos and pictures, and see details related to the work order as well.
0:36 As well as close or resolve work orders when needed. Viewer users also get access to the location summary. This gives you broad information about your building, including average visit time, expected visits, number of cleaning visits, or number of people.
0:54 If you have consumables or traffic enabled, you'll be able to see that here in the location summary. It's important to know that these viewer users do not get access to any traffic.
1:04 They also can't see things like settings in the app, or be able to change and modify any building information. They can, however, modify their account settings, email, name, and phone number, The other feature we brought this week is the ability to see more metrics in Analytics Studio.
1:29 As a reminder, Analytics Studio is an optional add-on you can add to your subscription. To see the new tables, you can go to New Question, and then select from metric daily data or metric hour-wise data.
1:47 Daily data allows you to see most data points on a day-to-day basis, while hour-wise allows you to see most data points on an hour-by-hour basis.
1:58 If I wanted to see certain data points on an hourly basis, for example, from 1pm to 4pm, I would use the hour-wise data.
2:07 I'm going to use the daily data, and I'm going to join this with our metric tags, which allows me to gain more information on the types of metrics that I want to view. 2:18 And then I can choose whether I want to see this data by cleaner or by location. In this case, I'm going to view by location.
2:27 what I can do is I can filter by the type of data that I want to see. if I go to the metric daily data, it's the key.
2:38 And this gives me all the different metrics I can filter by, expected time, of cleaning, median refill time, number of refills.
2:45 number of cleaner visits, total number of people if I have traffic, refill time if I have consumables, visit time if I have beacons.
2:53 More information on these tables and how to use them is in our updated Analytics Studio support document, I recommend checking that out.
3:01 That's it for this week.
