Introduction
Basestations are a crucial component of the Mero system, allowing for seamless communication between Mero beacons and devices. Setting up basestations correctly is essential for accurate data transmission. This article guides you through setting up new basestations.
Setting Up Basestations
1. Pre-Installation Considerations
Basestations have a communication range of up to 10 meters with accuracy down to 3 meters.
During installation, the Mero installation team will assist in identifying optimal locations for basestation placement.
For basestation replacements, refer to the dedicated article on replacing a basestation in our knowledge base.
2. Adding a Basestation
First, you can access the settings page by hitting the settings icon on the bottom left hand side
Navigate to the 'Basestations' tab on the settings page.
Click the orange “Add Basestation” button located on the right side.

Building & Area: Select the area of the building where the basestation will be installed.
Location: Determine the coverage area. Typically, a basestation encompasses a radius of 3-10 meters.
