Setting Up Notifications

Setting up notifications helps you stay informed about the status of your Basestations in real-time, enabling prompt action when a station goes offline.

  1. Enable Notifications

    • Go to Account Settings:

      • Click on the circle in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

      • Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

    • Configure Notifications:

      • Click on the "Notifications" tab.

      • Choose the type of notifications you want and the delivery method (push notification, email, or SMS).

      • For instance, to receive SMS and push notifications when a device goes offline, select those options.

  2. Customize Notification Areas

    • If you are responsible for specific buildings or areas, you can customize which notifications you receive:

      • Navigate through the notification panel.

      • Enable or disable notifications for certain areas as needed.

    • Click "Save Changes" when you're done.

Checking Basestation Status

Regularly checking the status of your Basestations helps you quickly identify and address any issues, ensuring continuous coverage and data continuity.

  1. To check the status of base stations, follow these steps:

    1. Access the Settings Pane:

      1. If you are on a mobile device, you may need to hit the "3 Lines" first.

      2. Go to the settings pane on the bottom of the screen

    2. Navigate to Base Stations:

      • In the Settings pane, go to the Base Stations section.

    3. Review Base Station Information:

      • Here, you will see details such as the base station's name, ID, the locations it covers, status, and the last seen timestamp.

      • Status indicates whether the base station is online or offline.

      • Last seen shows the last time the base station detected a cleaner in its area.

    4. Identify Potential Issues:

      • If a base station is both offline and has a last seen timestamp of more than 2 days ago, it may need to be replaced.

Replacing a Basestation

  1. Edit Basestation Details

    • Click the three dots next to the base station you want to replace.

    • Click the pencil icon to open the control panel.

    • Update the base station ID, nickname, and other details as necessary. Hit save when you are done.

  2. Swapping Out the Basestation

    • Scan the new Basestation:

      • Click the QR icon next to the base station ID box.

      • Use your phone or laptop camera to scan the new base station's QR code.

    • Click "Save Changes."
