January 2026 Update: Consumable Analytics & Conditional Formatting

We're making it easier to manage your consumables and visualize performance goals in Core Analytics.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Track Consumable Performance with New Metrics

Understanding your consumable usage just got easier with new metrics and grouping options.

New Metric: Consumption Interval

This metric shows how quickly consumables run out—the median time from refill to the next low/empty alert.

How to Use It

  • Group by Dispenser — See which specific dispensers run out fastest

  • Group by Dispenser Type — Compare paper towel vs toilet paper consumption

  • Group by Zone — Identify high-usage restrooms

  • Group by Building — Compare consumption patterns across locations

Where to find it:

Core Analytics > Select "Consumption Interval" from the metric dropdown

Why This Matters

  • Optimize restocking schedules based on actual usage patterns

  • Right-size supply quantities for each dispenser

  • Identify dispensers that need larger capacity or more frequent checks

See Performance at a Glance with Conditional Formatting

Now you can visually highlight metric values based on your performance targets.

What's New

  • Color-coded tables — Green/yellow/red backgrounds show values meeting, approaching, or missing your targets

  • Goal line on charts — Display a horizontal reference line at your target value

  • Flexible thresholds — Set different targets for each metric type (lower-is-better like time to refill, or higher-is-better like completion rate)

  • Saves with reports — Your conditional formatting settings are preserved when you save a report

How to Set It Up

  1. Go to Core Analytics

  2. Click Report Options in the toolbar

  3. Select Conditional Formatting

  4. Toggle on Apply formatting

  5. Choose whether lower or higher values are better for your metric

  6. Set your Target (green), Warning (yellow), and Red thresholds

  7. Optionally enable Display goal line to show a reference line on your chart

Where to find it:

Core Analytics > Report Options > Conditional Formatting
